PIKE CLASS REUNION

 PIKE CLASS REUNION

By Duncan

How do I start this story?  I worry I will leave someone out. Let's start with pictures of my 1962 Pike High School graduation class.

The internet has all kinds of interesting numbers about class unions. The general opinion is that 20-30% of high school classmates attend class reunions.

The highest number, 40%. This number means that 40% of classmates attend ONE class reunion in their lives.

Interestingly, about a third (⅓) of high school classmates will attend a high school class reunion.

I should have asked about the date of the picture above. I want to believe it's an early Pike elementary class, perhaps the graduating class of 1962 but don’t hold me to that.

Here we are in 2024, just 62 years later in life. Again, some interesting numbers. Interestingly, the class of 1962 would be having an impromptu get-together 62 years later. I received several phone calls and email messages reminding me of the lunch at the MCL Cafeteria.

Several classmates were going to be in town and wanted to get together for lunch with as many as possible. So, the MCL was chosen. The start time was 11:00 AM. The class "rollers and shakers" went into action and secured the community room (free of charge) at MCL. So it was set. Below are a few pictures of the lunch. (July 30, 2024)
